Kindred Spirits International
Kindred Spirits International, co-founded by Lynda Young and Carolyn Swanner, began in 1997 with conferences, publications, and ministries.
The two main outreaches of Kindred Spirits International are to the African refugee women's mission Amani ya Juu (Swahili for "Peace from Above") and to children's hospitals.
Many Amani families escaped killings, hatred, and have fled refugee camps. Now these mothers have hope as they work side-by-side “sewing peace through the eye of a needle.” Proceeds from the sale of items they make provide for their families.
