Lynda T. Young is a nationwide speaker and national award-winning author. She speaks at retreats, women’s groups, conference workshops and Stonecroft Ministries. Her focus is on parents, families, caregivers, church leadership, Stephen Ministries and counselors.
She also co-founded Kindred Spirits International (KSI) whose outreaches include children’s hospitals and Amani ya Juu, refugee women’s mission in Nairobi, Kenya. KSI's publishing company is Kindred Press, LLC.
With masters degrees in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Education/Administration from UNC, Chapel Hill, NC, she has been a teacher/administrator, and has published and taught You-niquely Made © curriculum on personalities.
Lynda and husband Dr. John Young live in a suburb of Atlanta, GA. They have four children, eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren—lots of hands on experience. Her husband, Dr. John L. Young, has been in Cancer Research Statistics on a national and international level since 1965, and is a professor at Emory University. Lynda Tinnin Young grew up in Oklahoma City, where her father was pastor at Baptist Temple.

Chaplain Johnnathan R. Ward, MDiv, co-author of the cancer book, is senior staff chaplain with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service, Atlanta, GA.
He has walked daily in the trenches with children and families as they journey the difficult stages of a cancer diagnosis. He understands the exceptional challenges that families face and the spiritual support so needed.
As the coordinator for Wellness education at Children's at Hughes Spalding in Atlanta, Johnnathan designs and leads staff support programs, retreats, and workshops.
He is a much sought after workshop and retreat leader dealing with grief, caring for the caregiver, and remembering your child through rituals.
Johnnathan has served as a chaplain in the hospital, military, and substance abuse environments. He has served as a pastor, missionary in Africa, and coordinator for the State of Georgia’s Responsible Fatherhood Program.
He seeks to live by the spiritual teaching, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” He is married to Vashti Maharaj-Ward and they have two children, Shivani and Sahadev.
